CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in relieving headaches, neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Aiding the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid helps keep your nervous system (brain and spinal cord) in a chemically happy place by flushing out waste and bringing in more oxygen and nutrients. Developed by physician William Sutherland, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.

Prenatal CST: During pregnancy the bones and structures of the pelvis loosen and change to accommodate your growing baby. CST helps balance these structures, increase mobility, and provides baby with the room needed to grow and position themselves properly for delivery. Babies with enough room to grow and move are less likely to develop spinal conditions like torticollis and scoliosis, and are less likely to lodge in the pelvis in a less than ideal birth position improving the chances for a delivery starting on time and progressing normally. CST is also a natural way to relieve allergy and sinus symptoms.

Postpartum CST: Structurally CST helps your body return to an appropriate and balanced normal. It helps support muscles and structures that pregnancy weakens. One of the ways you'll learn to help your body regain proper strength and balance is by learning good body mechanics for your new activities such as carrying and lifting your new baby.

This therapy is done clothed. Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended.
